El Dorado Contents is at the pre-production stage of a new feature film called “Valdes Giants”, director Alex Tossenberger’s first work.
It will include in its cast actors such as Alfredo Casero and Miguel Dedovich, among others.
The movie will be entirely shot in Chubut -Patagonia, Argentina-, mostly in Puerto Pirámides City, where the scenery and the local fauna will be extremely relevant to both narration and photography.
Thomas works for an international company which devotes no time to caring for the natural resources of this country or any other. He is sent to Peninsula Valdés, a region in Patagonia, under false pretences in order to investigate and get the town people’s agreement to settle down a giant tourist venture disregarding the regional economies.
After having been in contact with the town people’s generosity and getting to know a marvelous world which was completely new to him, he is naively unmasked and his identity is revealed by a certain guy (Captain Morelo) who seems to be lord and owner of the place.
Having his true identity revealed but bearing no bad intentions Tomás is desperate about his mission failure.
Tomás eventually meets Jose –a wise man who knows the place very well but who is completely illiterate in the art of writing- and as his last resource Tomás establishes a very useful interchange of knowledge that is vital to each other. Tomás teaches Jose how to read and write and Jose shares with him his years of experience in contact with the land, the scenery and the fauna of the place.
